Benchmarking: an introduction

In 2019, Modo Energy began by asking a simple question:

How much money do batteries in Great Britain actually make?

The Benchmarking section of the platform provides the best and latest tools to help answer that question.

There are three parts to Benchmarking:

• Overview - How much money are batteries in Great Britain making overall?
• The Leaderboard (PRO only) - Which batteries are making the most money?
• Asset explorer (PRO only) - What strategies are individual assets following?

In this documentation, you'll find answers to the following questions:

• Where do we get our data from?
• How do we select, clean, and curate that data?
• What calculations and assumptions do we make in the process?
